And These Are A Few of My Favorite Things....

ok actually I am sharing only two.. but whose counting anyways...

It looks like a cute fashionable purse, doesn't it?

Nope...it's my new coupon organizer my mom got me for me Christmas!!!
Yea me!! No more carrying a binder or index card holder, in fact no one will even know the coupon lady is coming!

and for a more organized year, I made a home management binder using my Cricut that was a gift from my wonderful husband...check it out...

Here is the front..

A pencil holder that I found on clearance for .90! Seriously, I had to add that because I have four "not me's" who are always taking my pens and pencils!!

These are the sections I have so far, I have at least one or two others to add..

The first one is emegency information & Daily Plan (aka our "to do" list) Second is meal planning and recipes.

The first one here are our addresses for our family and friends, the second our budget & finances.

I also added a ledger & a few clear pencil holders to hold receipts, tax info, etc.

So I may going out on a limb, but I am going to say that having my coupons fashionably organized and all I need to know regarding my family at my fingertips..are finer things!!!

Check out some more Finer Things at Amy's Finer Things!

Have a great weekend!

Another Great Deal @ Target...

Since I am starting my own Biggest Loser diet tomorrow, I needed to stock up on healthy, low cal food.

Target has Wight Watchers Smart Ones meal and desserts on sale this week for $1.89. Purchase 10 and you get a $5 gift card. However, I noticed on some of the frozen meals there was a $4 off when you buy 10 peelie... so after the $5 gift card and the $4 coupon they cost .99 each!!

Mall Shopping...

is not for someone who could possibly be ADD. So many stores, so many people, so many kiosks, I mean the distractions are just endless.

I had the privilege of going to the mall alone.. that is right, no kids, no husband, just ME!! The older kids were at school and Brian graciously stayed home with the baby (ok, so she's two, but she will forever be the baby!)

I made my list and checked it twice. With my coupons in hand, I was on a mission.

First things first.. where to park. Really that is a big decision, at least for me. I have to park somewhere that will be easy for me to remember where I parked - goes back to the undiagnosed ADD.

Check.. parked at a Macy's entrance. I parked there because when the store was still a Famous Barr and I would go to the mall with my mom, that is where we parked.

Easy enough.. now off to shop. I did well, let me give you a run down on how I did..

Using a Yankee Candle coupon that you can find here I headed to the Yankee Candle store in search of teacher gifts. I needed three, I want them to be nice, we really like our teachers!! So I found some really nice Christmasy candleholders (go figure, candle holders at a Yankee store)

First purchase of the day....

3 Christmas candle holders
2 candles (the third requires a tealight. I already have one at home, in case you were wondering)

Total before coupon...$26.XX
Total after coupon....$16.XX

Three presents bought..I will pair these candleholders up with a previous great deal I got at Bath and Body Works.

I was pleased...

Next stop.. Hot Topic

I can't say that I am a big fan of Hot Topic, but my daughter is and I am a big fan of her. So I popped in there to see what they had. And just in case she would happen to decide to see what mom has posted recently, I am not posting my purchases. I will tell you what I saved...

Total before discounts (no coupon, just good sales)..$40.xx
Total after discounts...$22.XX

Not too shabby...2 presents and 4 stocking stuffers!

Now I am looking for Bath and Body Works. I printed off a coupon that I found here. This coupon is for a free item of your choice, up to a $13 value, when you spend $10 or more. There are a couple of exclusions listed, such as the free item cannot be a gift set. Your $10 purchase can be a gift set though.

So total before coupon $23.XX
Total after coupon - $10.XX (Yup, I spent $10 and my free item was $13..love how that works)

My last and final stop.. the Hallmark Store. I brought with me a coupon that I found here. This coupon is good for $5 off your purchase of $5 or more.
I found there a really pretty bracelet - haven't decided for sure who will be the lucky recipient of it.. I have a couple of people in mind.

Total before coupon... $10.XX
Total after coupon....$5.XX

So in case you haven't been adding in your head as you went...

Trip to mall total before coupons and discounts....$99.XX
Trip to mall after coupons and discounts....$$53.XX

Total Savings...$46.XX (I did not include tax in any of the amounts)

I am happy!!

Do you shop online?

If the answer is yes, then before you ever hit the "proceed to checkout" button, you must visit Coupon Chief. It is an online shopping community that has coupon codes to more than 8000 online stores. The coupon codes range from $ amounts off, % off to discounted shipping. Most seem to have more than one online code and I have noticed over the past few years of online shopping that alot of online retailers will allow you to stack coupones...Ladies, Victorias Secret being one.
Before using the coupon you can read if others have used the code, if there were any problems with it, etc. Once you use the coupon code I would encourage you to go back and leave a review.

Have an online coupon to share? Well at Coupon Chief once you sign up as a member you can participate in their pay to share program. Pay to share allows you to earn money each time someone uses a coupon that you have submitted. It is a win win situation!

With Christmas just around the corner, Coupon Chief is a must add to your favorites. Brian and I have done a lot of our Christmas shopping on line in the past years and will do this year as well. I have already checked out our most frequented online retail stores and was pleased to find them all participants on Coupon Chief's website.

If you are still unsure of just exactly what Coupon Chief is and how it works, they have a great video tutorial that you can find here.

Happy shopping everyone!

Another reason to love Target...

They now price match! I "heard" that rumor but have now seen the sign first hand myself!!!

Speaking of Target I got a couple of AWESOME deals there over the weekend. First off in case you were not aware Target will allow you to use a Target coupon + a manufacturers coupon, that together is great! Anyway here are my two deals of the week...

Chef Michaels dog food (1.5) on sale for $4.29, used a Target $1 off coupon and a $3 manufacturers coupon. Final cost = .29, I did this deal 3xs.

Schick Womans Intuition Razor on sale for $8.29, used a Target $4 off coupon and a $4manufacturers coupon. Final cost = .29, I did this deal 3xs as well.

I love these free or almost free deals!!!

KMart is doubling coupons again!

I did really well a couple of weeks ago when KMart doubled coupons ( see the deals I got last time here ) and they are doing it again this week. They are doubling up to $2 (so your $2 coupon would be worth $4). There were some great Procter and Gamble coupons in this weeks paper, so I guess I will for sure make a trip there. They also are advertising that if you spend $25 in health and beauty, a $5 coupon will print out at the end of your transaction. I will post how I do!

KMart Double Coupon Week....

KMart doubled coupons this week, so of course, I gathered my coupons up and decided to head on up there. I have to say I even impressed myself.... my total before coupons...$54, my total after coupons...$22, I had $32 dollars in savings, plus to sweeten the deal, a $5 coupon printed for me to use on my next shopping trip!! I typically do not go to KMart except at times like this when I know I can get some really good deals. Anyway, I decided to go on my lunch break this afternoon so that I could use my $5 coupon. I gathered several things that I had coupons for, my total before coupons was $16, my total after coupons including the $5 coupon was.... are you ready? .28 cents!! I couldn't believe it. However, much to my dismay I had no cash at all on me, so I actually had to use my debit card for it. I was almost embarrassed. Below is a quick run down of what I was able to get

Sure deoderant - final cost..... .79 x 5

Pert Plus Shampoo/Conditioner ..... .49 x 2 & 1.49 x 1

Ziploc Bags..... $1.00 x 4

The New Bounce Fabric Softener Bar....$3.49 x 1 - this actually was not a good deal, I could have bought it at WalMart for $2.79 with my coupon. Oh well, you live and learn.

Chinet Plates - Free after coupon

Friskies - Free after coupons x 3

There are some other things I bought (see below), but off the top of my head cannot recall the final price. I know the price was great, but I do not want to put down something inaccurate.

Quilted Northern Toilet Paper
Edge Shaving Gel
Skintimate Shaving Gel
Gum
Cheerioes Snack Mix

Anyway, I had a great KMart run and am excited to be able to add to our stockpile!
